Nelson Associates Architectural Engineering, a full service architectural and engineering firm, is seeking to hire an architectural designer. This is a great opportunity for an energetic, positive, self-motivated person to join a well-established design firm. This individual will be an integral part of the architectural and engineering design group, working alongside engineers, architects, and project managers in performing technical design and preparing specifications.
Minimum Education: Two year college degree in a technical field, preferably in the field of architecture.
Minimum Experience: 2 years
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce contract documents, including plans and specifications for commercial, institutional, education, health care, multi-family housing, and other related type projects.
- Work with multi-discipline project teams to coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection with architectural documents.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of standard construction practices, the International Building Code, BCNYS 2020, NFPA, ADA, etc.
- Skilled in AutoCAD (Revit a plus).
- Ability to work with multi-discipline project teams.
- Ability to work independently to effectively complete routine tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills that are well organized.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
