Nelson Bros Ready Mix Fleet Maintenance Coordinator Job
This job opening is for a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of commercial trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Scheduling: Develop and oversee preventative maintenance schedules for our ready-mix and aggregate trucks to ensure they remain operational and compliant with regulations.
- Work Order Management: Create and assign work orders for maintenance and repairs, tracking their progress and ensuring timely completion.
- Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of service history, DOT inspections, and compliance reports to ensure our fleet meets all applicable regulations.
- Purchasing & Inventory Management: Collaborate with the Parts & Inventory Specialist to manage inventory levels and order necessary parts and equipment for scheduled and emergency repairs.
- Vendor Communication: Serve as a liaison between mechanics, drivers, and fleet managers, communicating with dealers, parts suppliers, and third-party repair shops as needed.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in fleet maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
