Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Position will be responsible for filling the responsibilities and duties of a Maintenance II Mechanic. The position will support all employees in maintenance/field operations and use all of Nelson Brother’s equipment. The position will require work order preparation. Perform other duties deemed necessary by NBLLC as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Able to perform all duties of Maintenance I/ Inventory Clerk
- Chassis – assist maintenance III and IV mechanics
- Transmission repair and replacement
- Rear axle and drive line repair and replacement
- All forms of general chassis repair and service work, including basic paint and body work
- Bulk Beds and Transport Trailer equipment
- Able to troubleshoot and repair basic hydraulic system problems
- Understands basic bed to chassis interface
- Basic Fabrication Ability
- Welding with stick and MIG
- Plasma Cutting
- Oxy Acetylene Cutting
- Fabrication to basic drawings
Regulatory compliance:
- Interpretation and application of MSHA, DOT, and OSHA regulations
- Help to monitor others as to compliance
General:
- Willing to travel on short notice
- Willing to work overtime on short notice
- Willing to do tasks outside of those specified to meets the needs of the company
- Must have excellent attendance
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Good Communicator, verbal and written
- Basic computer skills
- Customer Service experience required or like
- CDL holder with hazmat and tanker endorsements
