What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler 2nd shift position at Nelson Connects?
You are joining a growing team as an Assembly Operator, working with delicate microelectronics to perform precise assembly and inspection tasks. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering long-term stability, growth, and the chance to support a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Compensation: $21.45-$24.20/HR
Location: Newburyport, MA
Schedule: Mon-Fri 3:00pm to 11:30pm
What you will be doing:
- Operating manual, automatic, and semi-automatic microelectronics assembly equipment
- Inspecting die and packages using high and low level microscopes
- Following defined specifications, reaction paths, or verbal/written instructions
- Using hand tools to process delicate components without damage
- Maintaining organized, audit-ready work areas
- Entering product data into computer-based manufacturing systems
What you bring:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Previous electronic or semiconductor assembly experience (preferred)
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic
- Stable work history with a proven commitment to employers
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail for screening, inspecting, measuring, and sorting devices
