**Substance Use Disorder Counselor, Bilingual – Spanish**
You are a compassionate and skilled Substance Use Disorder Counselor (SUDC) with experience in alcohol and drug counseling. You are bilingual in Spanish and English, possess strong interpersonal skills, and are committed to trauma-informed, harm-reduction care. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are dedicated to helping clients develop effective treatment plans.
This role is based in San Rafael.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $30.00/hour 6% differential, plus a $5,000 Education Bonus toward full certification through BHSE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, intakes, and evaluations for substance use disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge plans in alignment with CalAIM documentation standards.
- Facilitate 2-3 weekly group sessions, including process groups, didactic groups, and specialty focus groups (1-2 evening shifts required).
- Carry a caseload of 20-25 clients across various levels of care (Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient, Recovery Services).
- Utilize Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Relapse Prevention Therapy in treatment.
- Maintain confidential client records and documentation.
Requirements:
- Registered or certified with CAADE, CADTP, or CCAPP.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in drug and alcohol counseling (or 1 year for Master's level clinicians).
- Understanding of trauma-informed care and harm reduction.
- Compliance with health requirements, including TB testing, COVID-19, and Influenza vaccinations (exemptions available).
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field preferred but not required.
