Mechanical Buyer I
Location : Roseville, CA
Hours : Monday - Friday
Salary : $25 - $32 / hour Strong Benefits (FULL TIME POSITION) - Will consider higher for a Level 2 or Level 3
Summary
Reporting to the Global Procurement Manager, the Mechanical Buyer I manages procurement of mechanical components, fasteners, and assemblies. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing, coordinates with internal teams, and maintains supplier relationships while interpreting engineering specifications and optimizing inventory planning.
What You Will Be Doing
- Managing Procurement – Process purchase and sales orders, including international transactions, ensuring timely delivery.
- Supplier Coordination – Develop and maintain relationships, source new vendors, and negotiate pricing.
- Inventory & Cost Control – Analyze costs, forecast inventory needs, and optimize shipment schedules.
- Technical Review – Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications for procurement accuracy.
- Ensuring Quality & Compliance – Verify purchased materials meet company and regulatory standards.
- Cross-functional Collaboration – Work closely with sales, manufacturing, and engineering teams to streamline processes.
