Paralegal
You are a paralegal who will provide critical support to the General Counsel in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential to the smooth and efficient operation of the Legal Department, requiring a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong legal acumen and exceptional communication skills. Key responsibilities include contract management, corporate governance support, legal research and analysis, and assisting with various legal projects.
This position pays: $35-$40
Location: Los Angeles, Ca
What you will be doing:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including NDAs, vendor agreements, leases, and service contracts.
- Track and manage contract deadlines, renewals, and amendments.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date contract database.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of corporate records, including minutes, resolutions, and organizational documents.
- Support the administration of Board and Committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance best practices and applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of legal issues, including corporate law, contract law, and compliance matters.
- Prepare legal memoranda and summaries of findings.
- Assist in the management of litigation matters, including document production, discovery requests, and communication with outside counsel.
- Manage special projects as assigned by the General Counsel, including legal audits, compliance reviews, and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide general administrative support to the Legal Department, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling travel arrangements.
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree required; Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Corporate Paralegal in a fast-paced environment. Highly preferred private sector or Philanthropic experience.
- Strong understanding of corporate law principles and legal procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Razors Edge.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information with the utmost professionalism.
