Plastic Welder

You are responsible for joining and repairing plastic components using heat and pressure with hand-welding machinery, following safety guidelines. You will read blueprints, select the appropriate welding equipment, and ensure high-quality, durable welds. Additionally, you'll collaborate with team members, maintain welding equipment, and uphold a safe work environment.

This position pays: $22/hr-$25/hr

What You Will Be Doing

• Perform Plastic welding according to established procedures and safety guidelines
• Operate and maintain welding equipment to ensure efficient and effective performance
• Inspect and examine welds to ensure that they meet quality standards and project specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine welding requirements
• Collaborate with other team members to plan and coordinate welding projects
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure its longevity and optimal performance
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  
  

What You Bring

• Knowledge and experience in plastic welding techniques, equipment, and tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise and accurate welding
• Attention to detail and quality control to ensure finished products meet standards
• Flexibility to work in various environments and with different types of plastics
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other welders and supervisors
• Good math skills
• Experience using grinders, saws all, drills and Dremel tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Capable of standing for long periods of time
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
