Job Summary
The Quality Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the quality of all products and services within our organization. This position requires a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate is responsible for ensuring that all products and services meet or exceed quality standards, while also ensuring that any customer complaints or feedback are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain effective quality control systems and processes to ensure that all products and services meet quality standards
- Monitor and resolve customer feedback and complaints in a timely manner
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures
- Create and maintain quality related documentation and records
- Monitor and measure product and service performance, identifying areas for improvement
- Manage and coordinate quality audits and inspections
- Directly interface with suppliers on quality issues; including documenting issues and findings with corporate supplier quality, create RMAs, verify inventory and initiate corrective actions or preventative action as needed in NGP's systems.
- Ensure process for checking quality on out going products is followed correctly.
- Ability to check Component and assembled part layout in accordance to prints
- Ability to communicate and coordinate with line/department supervisors/ leadership, rework needed
- Finished goods audits.
- Line Roamer for quality concerns
- Support / Engage in deviations.
- Support Calibration system (inspection, test equipment, functional gages)
- Strong Team Environment skills
- Document and record data collected on inspection forms
- Promote quality workmanship that meets and or exceeds customer expectations.
- Must be able to work in a professional manner with all customers (internal / external) and suppliers
- Assist with housekeeping in the non-conforming area
- Assist NCM area with material handling, inventory, non-standard jobs etc.
- Verify product at a customer's facility
- Procure 3rd party inspections
- Other jobs as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
- 3-5 years min. experience working in a manufacturing/fabrication environment preferred
- Proven experience in developing and implementing quality control systems
- Quality plans and controls knowledge
- Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have strong computer skills in MS word, excel, power point, mini tab and analytical software
- Must have the ability to execute programs on QA equipment
- Ability to discuss issues with customers professionally
- Detail orientated
