Purpose:
The Maintenance Mechanic will safely assemble, install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain industrial equipment, apparatus, and fixtures. Incumbent will have knowledge of using hand, power, and precision measuring tools and must also be familiar with Hydraulic, Pneumatic with some Electrical experience.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain and improve upon existing manufacturing practices
- Assist in development of new equipment
- Assist in performing preventive maintenance on all equipment
- Support and enforce all company and departmental policies
- Assist in process improvements and implementation
- Fill out daily logs and file work orders
- Read blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, mechanical/electrical diagrams
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Maintain hydraulic and water systems
- Basic understanding of industrial electrical 480 3 Phase
- General building and ground maintenance
- Solve production level problems in real time
- Be actively involved in Lean and 5S activities
- Be a safety advocate and demonstrate safe practices and report unsafe conditions
- Self-starter yet able to take orders as directed.
- Compliance with all health and safety regulations, policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, Associate's Degree preferred
- 5 years' experience in industrial maintenance or technical school training.
- The understanding of preventative maintenance programs and general plant maintenance
- Industrial and mechanical troubleshooting experience
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts desired
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling
- Strong ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
