Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong aesthetic sense and a passion for transforming spaces into functional and visually appealing environments. As an Interior Designer, you will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, developing innovative design solutions that reflect their style and enhance their living or working spaces.
Duties
- Collaborate with clients/contractors/in-house architect to determine their design preferences, requirements, and budget constraints.
- Create detailed design plans using software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Revit, and Enscape.
- Develop boards and color palettes that align with the client's vision while applying principles of color theory.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously from conception through completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project management best practices.
- Manage / Mentor a team of designers, fostering collaborative and inspiring work environment.
- Conduct site visits to assess/measure existing conditions, and gather information for renovation projects.
- Select appropriate materials, furnishings, fixtures, and lighting designs that meet both aesthetic and functional needs.
- Prepare presentations for clients that effectively communicate design concepts and proposals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Sketchup, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Enscape.
- Strong understanding of lighting design principles and budgeting techniques.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of renovation processes, and construction methods is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively present ideas to clients, and collaborate with contractors.
- A keen eye for detail along with a creative approach to problem-solving.
