JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the testing and repair of electronic control products. Provide support to the manufacturing floor designing and fabricating electronic test fixtures. Trouble shoot and repair failed production units or RMAs. Provide technical assistance to engineering and the production team as needed.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing production test fixtures, procedures, and instructions
  • Utilizing schematics to inspect, trouble shoot and repair various electronic control assemblies
  • Solder and test circuit board assemblies – Can meet IPC J-STD-001 Soldering
  • Responsible for ensuring that test processes and fixtures are meeting or exceeding required testing criteria
  • Timely analysis and reporting of RMAs

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the FAIR process by performing circuit verification and electrical testing
  • Assist engineering introduction of new production parts using electronic test equipment
  • Perform electrical testing and inspection of incoming PCBAs to ensure performance and quality
  • Work closely with Engineering, production floor personnel, and Manufacturing Process Engineer to deliver quality product to the customer
  • Maintain database of test equipment and production test fixtures
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • 2- or 4-year degree in electronics/electro-mechanical discipline or equivalent relevant experience or training

Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience in electronics/electro-mechanical field
  • Production and manufacturing experience
  • Manufacturing job shop environment experience preferred

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Soldering and PCB assembly skills - IPC J-STD-001 Soldering preferred
  • Strong computer skills including Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with various test equipment and their uses
