Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. This role is essential in supporting attorneys by assisting with drafting legal documents and performing various administrative tasks within a law office environment.
Duties
- Assist attorneys with in drafting and reviewing legal documents in multiple areas of law including but not limited to, estate planning, probate, municipal law and business/contract law. The main focus of this role will be in Estate Planning with the opportunity to assist in other areas.
- Manage files and maintain organized records for easy access and retrieval.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately to ensure all information is up-to-date.
- Review documents for accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Direct client communication.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with legal ethics.
- Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, email management and document processing.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and possess excellent computer skills
- Detail oriented, dependable, and organized
