What are the responsibilities and job description for the GPS Support Technician position at Nelson Pipeline Constructors, LLC?
Nelson Pipeline is seeking a highly motivated and eager to learn GPS Support Technician based out of our Fort Lupton, CO office. The ideal candidate will divide their time between field work and office support work. Duties will include working with AutoCAD, reading civil engineering plans and extensive file management.
- Coordinate the receipt, organization, and distribution of project materials, including site plans, AutoCAD files, and survey control data for Nelson Pipeline projects
- Standardize and maintain project documentation, including updates to observation results
- Prepare project data for Trimble GPS systems to support accurate field navigation and data collection
- Schedule and manage project site visits, including last-minute requests and GPS calibration tasks
- Conduct field visits involving physical activity such as walking long distances, carrying equipment, and working in various weather conditions. Tasks include:
- GPS calibration and data collection
- As-built verification and communication with field crews
- Process as-built data into final deliverables for clients
- Support additional project tasks as needed
