What are the responsibilities and job description for the Large Excavator Operator position at Nelson Pipeline Constructors, LLC?
Nelson Pipeline is seeking a highly motivated Large Excavator/ Backhoe 390/490 who is responsible for operating a heavy – duty excavator/ backhoe in various construction, excavation, and earthmoving projects.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and maintain equipment on a daily basis to ensure safe and efficient use
- Operates the backhoe to perform a variety of tasks including sloping, digging, trenching, grading and lifting materials
- Clear debris, leveling ground, and creating access routes to equipment
- Coordinate with other crew members and managers to ensure that the work is safe
- Move and transport materials as needed for projects
- Communicates effectively with crew members, and managers
- Occasional labor work when machinery work is slow
- Adheres to all safety rules
- Maintaining the work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly manner on a continuous basis
- Other job duties as assigned
