Position Summary:
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of all systems, devices, and networks for the organization. This role requires strong technical expertise in managing hardware, internal systems, vendor relationships, and IT operations. The IT Manager will lead IT initiatives, manage the IT budget, optimize system integrations, and provide support for all technology-related needs across the company. This role will also play a key part in strategic planning for future IT investments and improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the setup, purchasing, and management of all hardware including laptops, phones, iPads, printers, and wireless access points
- Work cross-functionally with all departments over system needs, implementations, streamlining reporting, building out automation, etc.
- Manage office IT setups, including firewalls, internet connections, servers, and active directory configurations
- Own all IT vendor relationships, including Meriplex and Verizon, and manage ongoing contracts and service agreements
- Manage all support tickets with Meriplex and resolve IT-related issues promptly
- Plan and manage Meriplex setup, including developing annual renewal plans with cost-saving measures
- Manage, maintain and streamline internal systems such as Viewpoint, B2W, Concur, Viewpoint, and UKG
- Own and optimize the company's SharePoint setup, security, and email groups
- Monitor and manage cloud storage across all platforms, ensuring adequate capacity, security, and performance
- Oversee the onboarding and offboarding process for employees, ensuring timely provisioning of IT resources and access
- Ensure efficient device cleanup and management in Intune, and implement global policy reviews for compliance and security
- Conduct regular IT training sessions for field and staff to ensure effective use of systems and technology
- Manage all Nelson-related IT issues and provide hands-on support for resolving technical challenges
- Own and manage the IT budget, tracking IT expenditures and ensuring efficient allocation of resources
- Plan and track IT-related purchases, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
- Drive and own internal IT projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion
- Manage North and South office IT inventories, tracking hardware, software, and other IT assets
- Develop and execute strategic IT plans, including plans for mobile device management and cloud infrastructure
- Plan for iPhone upgrades or changes, including potential shifts away from Verizon and evaluating business plans
- Hold regular meetings with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress on IT initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 3-5 years of experience in IT management, including hardware, software, systems, and vendor management
- Proven track record in managing IT projects, budgets, and internal system integrations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with both technical and non-technical staff
