Full Job Description

Nelson Pool Company is looking for a technician that will be performing under water leak detections and below deck pressure tests; as well as equipment repairs/replacements and construction repairs.

Responsibilities:

· Communicate politely with customers and complete all work in a timely and accurate manner.

· Installation, troubleshooting, repair and replacement of swimming pool equipment; i.e. motors, pumps, lights, filters, skimmers etc.

· Locate pool leaks and properly repair them.

· Physically fit for the job, including but not limited to, working with heavy objects, balance, dexterity, clarity of vision, hand-eye coordination.

Physical Requirements

· Perform tasks while completely submerged underwater

· Maintain balance and stand for several hours while working

· Lift, push and pull object(s) weighing up to 70 pounds

· Have full dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of specialized tools and equipment

· Have clarity of vision at varying distances to operate equipment and to drive

· Have verbal, auditory and written capabilities to effectively communicate

· Have good hand-eye coordination and be able to manipulate large and small objects

· Work with chemicals, tools and powered machinery

Position Requirements

· Experience in similar work (at least 1 year) or knowledge of swimming pools

· Must be at least18 years of age, be of good moral character, have a high degree of stamina for physical labor, with the ability to work in high degrees of heat and adverse weather conditions.

· High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required

· Willingness to learn and be cross trained in different positions

· Must know basic English, knowing Spanish will be beneficial

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Commission pay

• Sarasota, FL 34243: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)

Shift availability:
