We are currently seeking a Senior Technical Designer to join our Retail Practice . A Senior Technical Designer performs complex design and construction documentation assignments; and leads a team in the technical execution of the projects. As a Senior Technical Designer, you will work with the project team and assist in the overall efforts for the successful completion of the design, documentation, and construction of the project.

Lead team in the preparation of construction documentationPartner with the Project Manager in the overall delivery of the goals of the projectLead or participate in design charrettes and project team meetingsParticipate in interviews and recruiting of professional staff as requestedIn conjunction with the Studio Leaders, mentor and direct the design work of Teammates and participate in Teammate performance evaluationsFoster a commitment to external and internal client serviceDevelop and maintain positive relationships with consultants, contractors and jurisdictional / approval agenciesContribute as a team lead on an as needed basis as it relates to individual performance & development within the project teamEmbrace specific steps to create, develop and promote a diverse workforce and to promote an inclusive environmentProject Delivery :
Participate with the project team to understand / establish project goals and objectives including workplan, schedule, budget parametersAssist in developing project work plans in Deltek Vision for large scale and / or complex projectsDevelop innovative design solutions which are practical, aesthetic, safe and conducive to intended purposes and function which is reflective of client goals and within project budgetResponsible for selection and specification of materials and architectural building systemsLead effort related to development of design conceptRender conceptual design ideas and prepares D and D presentation / design drawingsPrepare and conduct client presentationsLead the overall project technical development for large scale and / or complex projectsResponsible for communication with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessaryImplements and utilizes NELSON Standards for all projects and processesProduce written project documentation including agreements, meeting documentation, transmittals, memoranda, etc. using NESLON standard formats and compliant with the NELSON standardsPrepare, corrects and updates construction documentsOversee coordination and quality assurance of documents required to complete a project or phase of a project; ensures documents are in concert with design intent and code complaintProvide product research and compile data during design phasesPrepare and modify architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. using AutoCAD / Architectural Desktop and / or Revit / BIMCoordinate technical details of the project for system integration of work provided by othersDevelop project specifications or work with specification writer to coordinate construction documentsComplete timesheet daily and expense reports accurately and on-timeBusiness Development :
Participate in selected marketing and business development opportunities as requestedAssist in development of fee proposals for marketing and project pursuitsMay assist with negotiating fees and contractsExplore and identifies new opportunities to add or enhance professional services with existing clientsQualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Drafting, or related fieldyears of relevant industry experienceHighly proficient in both Revit and AutoCADFamiliarity with Photoshop and / or InDesign preferredMust be deadline-orientedStrong attention to detailNational salary range : $, – $, ( years experience).
