As a Nemacolin Private Babysitter, you will be responsible for providing individualized care, attentively engaging with children through age-appropriate activities, and ensuring a secure and enjoyable environment. Your efforts will contribute to a seamless, luxurious experience for both children and parents, aligning with the resort's commitment to delivering “Real Life Magic” at every turn.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Ensure the safety and well-being of children under care at all times, adhering to the highest standards of care and safety protocols.
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities, fostering an environment of fun, learning, and development while promoting creativity and positive interaction.
- Provide personalized care based on individual child needs, including support with feeding, dressing, and nap times, while maintaining a calm and nurturing demeanor.
- Assist in facilitating special programs and events as needed, ensuring seamless and enjoyable experiences for both children and parents.
- Create and maintain a secure and welcoming environment for children, ensuring comfort and attention to any special requirements or requests from families.
- Monitor and entertain assigned children, ensuring their comfort, well-being, and engagement with activities, while promoting safety at all times.
- Provide responsive and attentive childcare, including assistance with meals, diaper changes, and other daily activities as necessary.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to guest preferences and specific instructions, creating bespoke experiences for children to enhance their time at Nemacolin.
- Assist guests with childcare-related needs and inquiries, ensuring excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or requests promptly and professionally.
- Communicate effectively with parents, offering updates on their child's activities and well-being, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Maintain a positive and proactive attitude when interacting with both children and guests, contributing to an atmosphere of excellence and personalized service.
- Follow all resort policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and sanitation, to ensure the best care for children.
- Monitor children’s emotional and physical needs, providing reassurance and support in any situation, while remaining calm and composed in case of emergencies.
- Provide enrichment activities tailored to the children’s age, interests, and developmental stage, including arts, crafts, games, and educational activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, ensuring that the needs of the children and the guests are always met with professionalism and a commitment to service excellence.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Friendly, nurturing, and professional demeanor with a genuine passion for working with children.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to interact with both children and parents with warmth, clarity, and confidence.
- Ability to remain attentive and engaged for extended periods, up to 8 hours at a time.
- Fluent in the English language, with the ability to articulate instructions and offer clear communication.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant certifications in childcare or first aid are a plus.
- High energy, physically fit, and able to actively engage with children throughout the day.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, ensuring safety and trustworthiness.
- Prior experience in private babysitting, luxury childcare, or other related fields is highly preferred.
- Expertise in managing multiple children of varying ages, and adjusting activities to meet individual needs.
- Discretion and professionalism in maintaining privacy and confidentiality of families and children.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address any challenges calmly and effectively.
- A keen understanding of age-appropriate development and the ability to tailor activities to suit the child's age and interests.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR, with the ability to handle emergencies with composure and efficiency.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate guest needs, with a commitment to providing exceptional service at all times.
- Ability to create a fun, engaging, and enriching environment that allows children to feel comfortable and entertained while parents enjoy their time at the resort.
