Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our finance team in the luxury hospitality sector. This individual will focus primarily on labor analysis and assist with accounting research across departments. The role will provide key insights and ad hoc analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning in the luxury hospitality industry.

Essential Functions:

• Conduct comprehensive labor cost analysis, including staffing levels, wages, benefits, and labor efficiency.
• Prepare detailed labor reports, highlighting key trends, cost-saving opportunities, and performance metrics.
• Assist with forecasting and budgeting for labor costs across various departments.
• Monitor labor performance and identify areas for improvement to optimize operational costs and enhance workforce productivity.
• Collaborate with various departments to provide accounting research and guidance on financial matters related to labor and operational expenses.
• Support the accounting team in preparing reports, reviewing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist with the reconciliation of labor-related accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making and business strategies across departments, with a particular focus on labor-related matters.
• Provide data-driven insights on business performance, cost control, and profitability, focusing on labor and operational efficiency.
• Prepare detailed financial models to evaluate various business scenarios and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Work closely with HR, Operations, and Management teams to understand labor needs, workforce utilization, and financial implications.
• Act as a financial liaison for departments, providing support with labor-related financial inquiries and analysis.
• Analyze labor costs and performance against budget and forecast to ensure financial targets are met.
• Identify trends and variances in labor costs, recommending cost control strategies and process improvements.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and labor market trends, particularly within the luxury hospitality sector.
• Proactively suggest and implement improvements to financial reporting, labor analysis processes, and accounting research methodologies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Experience with labor cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and financial software (e.g., ERP systems, BI tools).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
