Job Overview
Nemacolin is seeking a highly experienced Health and Safety Manager to oversee the implementation and maintenance of our comprehensive health and safety program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food safety, risk management, and compliance, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- ServSafe Certification: Maintain ServSafe certification and ensure all leadership maintains their minimum level of certification as dictated by their position.
- HACCP Plan: Ensure HACCP plans are in place for all potentially critical points in all kitchens, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations.
- Certifications: Ensure all leadership maintains their minimum level of certification as dictated by their position.
- Allergens: Ensure training and testing of all associates regarding allergens on menus, driving and maintaining standard operating procedures for addressing allergies.
- Risk Assessments: Regularly assess and identify potential health and safety hazards within the workplace, developing strategies to mitigate or eliminate these risks.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in the hospitality industry, with recent experience overseeing F&B multi-outlet operations in a high-volume, high-end luxury resort preferred.
- Certifications: ServSafe certification and familiarity with HACCP processes, RAMP certification a plus.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of customer service, fluent English, multilingual a plus, basic mathematical functions, Microsoft Office programs, sound judgment and decision-making skills.
