Responsibilities and Duties
The DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS - FOOD SAFETY is responsible for leading the implementation and maintenance of our comprehensive health and safety program. This includes conducting regular safety inspections and audits, maintaining ServSafe certification, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- ServSafe Certification: Maintain ServSafe certification and ensure all leadership maintains their minimum level of certification as dictated by their position.
- HACCP Plan: Ensure HACCP plans are in place for all potentially critical points in all kitchens, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations.
- Certifications: Ensure all leadership maintains their minimum level of certification as dictated by their position.
- Allergens: Ensure training and testing of all associates regarding allergens on menus, driving and maintaining standard operating procedures for addressing allergies.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in the hospitality industry, with recent experience overseeing F&B multi-outlet operations in a high-volume, high-end luxury resort preferred.
- Certifications: ServSafe certification and familiarity with HACCP processes, RAMP certification a plus.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of customer service, fluent English, multilingual a plus, basic mathematical functions, Microsoft Office programs, sound judgment and decision-making skills.
