Position Title: Bartender
Job Location: Nemadji Golf Course
Start Date: Spring 2025
Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager
Position Summary:
Provides superior food and beverage service to golfers in accordance with True Service customer service standards during standard operation hours, tournament, and event play.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow company opening/closing procedures including inspection for adequate supplies, procuring additional supplies as necessary, and preparing garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks
- Greet all guests as they enter the bar area
- Stay up to date
- Mix, prepare, and serve drinks according to Nemadji recipe guidelines and Wisconsin Law
- Maintain clean bar equipment and work area
- Maintain records of liquor, beer, wine, tobacco, and sundries to ensure par stock is maintained at all times
- Availability from 6am-10pm, to accurately staff the bar at all times
- Notify and record depleting inventory, or bar needs to management
- Provide alcoholic beverages to patrons by first verifying their age is above the legal drinking age
- Maintain good service standards during tournaments and events, serving upwards an of 100-150 patrons simultaneously
- Willingness to learn and work in all realms of the food and beverage side, from bartender to beverage cart and serving as well
- Stay up to date on drink features, specials and food specials to keep yourself and customers informed of deals
- Change kegs and rotate product in beer coolers
- Ability to stock and work outside bars during tournaments and events when necessary
- Available for work from the months of April-October
Qualifications:
- High school required
- 1 year bartending experience preferred
- Wisconsin alcohol seller’s permit REQUIRED, ServSafe preferred
- Wisconsin Food Handlers license (ServSafe preferred)
- Demonstrates quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends
- Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations
- Able to work during the months of April through the end of October with some overtime expected
- Previous golf course employment preferred
Compensation Range:
$7.50 - $10 per hour and is a tipped position with conditional golf privileges included
