JOB POSTING- Nemadji Golf Course

Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager

Position Status: Part time, Seasonal, non-exempt

Position Summary

Provides superior food and beverage service to golfers in accordance with True Service customer service standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Provide food and beverage service to golfers on the course in accordance with the food and drink menu and company quality standards

· Maintain par list of turn stand building, beverage cart, and restock accordingly

· Maintain clean, neat appearance and sanitation of equipment at your work station, turn stand or beverage cart. Check before, clean after.

· Obtain supplies from the club’s kitchen and storeroom, and ensure proper transfer and storage

· Ensure that the required income, cost control and inventory procedures are followed by recording data on our beverage cart or turn stand inventory list. (These will be checked periodically by me)

· Comply with applicable health, alcoholic beverage, and all other laws/requirements to ensure safe serving of all guests on Nemadji’s property

· Ensure that the work area is operating properly. Report malfunctions to supervisor as appropriate

· Assure the efficient and timely submission of all required reports

· Clean clubhouse restrooms after work shift is complete.

· Perform other duties as appropriate or requested

· Maintain friendly and professional dialog with golfers and report any inappropriate behavior or misconduct to management immediately

Education/Qualifications/Certifications

· Alcohol and Food Handler’s permit required (ServSafe preferred)

· Tavern Operators License

· Valid Driver’s License

· High school diploma preferred

· Beverage/food service experience necessary

· Demonstrates quality interpersonal communication skills

· Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including evenings/weekends.

· Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.

Position Physical Requirements

Must have the ability to:

· Read and write (English)

· Communicate verbally with staff members and/or customers with or without the use of two-way radios.

· Give and/or follow verbal and written instructions

· Make rangers/starters aware of off premise beverage use when you see it

· Operate equipment such as a turn stand or beverage golf cart for up to 10 hours at a time

· Perform mathematical calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages to take adequate payments while simultaneously making correct change

· Stand, sit, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to 5 hours at a time

· Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly

· Available to work during the months of April to October.

Compensation range

$7.50 to $10.50 commensurate to experience Conditional golf privileges are included

Working Conditions

Work hours may include days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, holidays, occasional overtime. Work primarily outdoors, with indoor work involving patio, grill, and bar service. Will be exposed to sharp utensils, extremely hot stoves and grills, sharp and rapid equipment movements, hot food, potentially dangerous chemicals and solvents on a daily basis. May be exposed, from time to time, to inclement weather, potentially dangerous pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, equipment movement hazards, and misdirected golf balls. Injury may result as a result of exposure to the above if safety policies and practices are not properly followed at all times.
