We are dedicated to continuous improvement and are seeking a talented Project Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge systems.
Position Overview:
As a Project Mechanical Engineer, you will lead and coordinate projects from concept through completion, ensuring they stay within budget and on schedule. You will drive the development of new products and improvements to existing ones, supporting various teams and contributing to our cross-functional product development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, test, and launch new products.
- Provide engineering support across Production, Quality, Sales, Customer Service, and Service teams.
- Evaluate and enhance existing products for performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Design and build lab testing systems; conduct and document tests.
- Research and integrate new technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
- Create and manage project schedules.
- Coordinate with testing agencies (UL, NSF, ETL).
- Collaborate with cross-functional product development teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (required).
- 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and manufacturing restaurant or residential appliances.
- Expertise in sheet metal design, casting, and injection molding.
- Hands-on experience in full product development life cycle, from concept to post-sale support.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical assemblies.
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Experience with Lean (TPS), Set-Based Design, and Concurrent Development (preferred).
- Knowledge of commercial foodservice equipment (a plus).
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday.
Supplemental Pay:
- Bonus opportunities available.
Location & Travel:
- 4300 E Magnolia St, Phoenix, AZ 85034
- Must be willing to occasionally travel to corporate office in Ohio. No more than 2x per year.
