Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida is seeking qualified individuals to join our growing Cardiac Inpatient service in Orlando, FL.
The pediatric cardiology hospitalist will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team of care providers including cardiac intensivists, cardiac surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists, advanced nurse practitioners, and additional support staff.
We are seeking individuals with a passion for clinical excellence, education, and quality improvement. This physician will play a significant role in the creation and implementation of a dedicated Cardiac Step Down Unit. Additionally, the opportunity to develop clinical protocols, pathways, and systems to enhance inpatient cardiac care is expected. Responsibilities also include potential consult coverage in our 30-bed Cardiac Critical Care Unit. Inpatient 24 / 7 in-house coverage is covered by Cardiac Intensivists. This position will offer the opportunity to work with pediatric residents, medical students, and advanced practice nurses, as well as develop educational curricula and programs for continuing education. Physicians are encouraged to apply for academic appointment through the University of Central Florida, commensurate with experience.
