Job Description
The Division of Ophthalmology at Nemours Children’s Health, Jacksonville , in Jacksonville, FL, is actively recruiting a fellowship-trained BC/BE Pediatric Ophthalmologist to join a team of 3 Pediatric Ophthalmologists and 2 Pediatric Optometrists. Ideal candidates will have experience in all aspects of general pediatric ophthalmology, including outpatient visits, surgery, hospital consultation allowing a diverse exposure to all areas of pediatric ophthalmology as well as the opportunity for ROP screening and treatment. In addition to the clinical responsibilities, the physician will participate actively in the education and training of ophthalmology residents from the University of Florida, Jacksonville. Residents take primary call all evenings and weekends, with attendings sharing backup call. Academic appointment is awarded by Mayo Clinic – Jacksonville School of Medicine based on established professorial guidelines. Adult strabismus practice, if desired, is performed at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville.
