Nemours is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team in Orlando, Florida.
This position is responsible for providing appropriate support for the Division of Otolaryngology within his/her scope of practice and credentials as set forth by Nemours Children’s Hospital and the state of Florida. This includes but is not limited to: Interviewing patients, obtaining and recording health histories, completing physical and developmental assessments, diagnosing health problems, managing the health care of those patients for which he/she has been educated, providing health care teaching and counseling, initiating referrals, maintaining health records and providing consultative services as needed, first assist in operating room, writing admission, pre and post-operative and discharge orders, accepting after-hours phone calls from patients and from hospital nursing personnel, treatment of pediatric patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
This position will also entail working closely with members of the infection prevention team to support infection prevention initiatives

Key Responsibilities
- Provides care to pediatric patients with acute or chronic illnesses, with a patient/family centered care focus.
- Elicits comprehensive or focused/interval health history(ies).
- Performs complete or focused physical examinations.
- Orders, performs, and/or interprets diagnostic or screening tests.
- Orders and interprets radiographs and ultrasounds within the PA scope of practice.
- Develops and revises treatment plans.
- Initiates, monitors, alters, or orders medications related to conditions or illnesses being treated within applicable divisions.
- Orders IV fluids and additives

- National Certification as a Physician Assistant. Active PA License on hire.
- Must have American Heart Association BLS and PALS
- ENT experience required
- 1 year Pediatric experience preferred
