Nemours Children's Health is seeking an Ambulatory Administrative Manager for our Speciality Care location in Pensacola, FL.

The Ambulatory Administrative Manager, in collaboration with the AVP, Site Practice Administrator, Administrative Director of Operations, Division Chiefs, Director of Nursing and NCH Senior leadership, will oversee the administrative and operational activities of their assigned divisions. The role will ensure that all measures of success for the practice are maintained and continuously improved through collaborative and innovative approaches.

  1. Works with the AVP, Site Practice Administrator, Administrative Director of Operations, Director of Nursing and Division Chiefs to provide administrative and operational oversight within assigned divisions.
  2. In collaboration with the AVP, Site Practice Administrator, Administrative Operations Directors and Division Chiefs is responsible for developing operating and capital budgets to develop productivity goals (budgeted RVUs, visits, cases) and to identify appropriate staffing levels for assigned divisions. 
  3. Actively participates in cross campus collaboration as it relates to integration and the overall enterprise-wide improvement efforts by participating in projects to identify cost effective revenue enhancement and expense reductions to be implemented across campuses to support operating margin improvement efforts across Florida Operations. 
  4. In collaboration with Administrative Director of Operations, monitors, identifies trends, and reports performance in charge capture/delays, denials management, chart closure/documentation, staffing ratios, revenue and expenses, clinical volumes, RVU productivity, Voice of Child and Family Satisfaction, Quality & Service Metrics, and develops and implements countermeasure when necessary for assigned divisions.
  5. Promotes patient centered customer service and all aspects of Nemours measures of success by working collaboratively with Division Chiefs, Administrative Director of Operations, Nurse Managers, and other members of the management team to identify trends and develop countermeasures.
  6. Coordinates with Administrative Director, Chiefs, and Access Center Staff to ensure patient access is maintained by effectively managing templates and developing countermeasures when necessary.
  7. Promotes and sustains all aspects of Nemours Next Frontier goals by leading and participating in continuous improvement efforts through daily management systems, attending tiered huddles, ensuring improvement work is maintained through auditing, serving as a coach for assigned areas and interacting with other departments which may also include hospital-based associates to resolve daily problems and improve coordination of systems as it relates to mutual goal attainment.
  8. Assures safe work practices are used by all associates of the department, promotes a positive work environment within the department and treats associates with respect, dignity, and fairness while maintaining accountability.
  9. Oversees the new provider onboarding process to ensure maximum efficiency and reimbursement for services provided. 
  10. Operational oversight of all contracts and grants associated with assigned department(s)/division(s).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree is required (or in lieu of a Bachelor Degree, 5 years of healthcare leadership experience is required). 
  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare administration experience is required; 3 plus years preferred.
  • Experience working collaborative with physician and administrative leadership is required.
  • Experience applying performance improvement methodologies and team facilitation is preferred.
