Position Requirements
- Review project specifications, plans, and documentation to understand project requirements.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess existing HVAC systems and gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Accurately estimate the building of HVAC projects including the cost, materials, and labor required.
- Prepare, submit & maintain a log of comprehensive and competitive bid proposals based on project specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to analyze project needs, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain a database of supplier and subcontractor contacts and cost history for future estimating needs.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and materials to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather additional information and answer any questions from potential clients.
- Collaborate with sales and project management teams to review and analyze completed projects for accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or experience equivalent
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the HVAC industry with a proven track record.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, installation techniques, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Proficient in estimating and project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to interpret project specifications, plans, and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to resolve issues and mitigate project risks.
- Deadline and detail oriented.
