Position Summary:
Supervise and coordinates activities of workers engaged in inspecting incoming materials, in-process electronic assemblies and components, and finished, packaged products. The Quality Inspection Supervisor is accountable for the Quality Inspector assignments, development, planning and growth
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages daily operations and supervises direct reports in collaboration with Manager.
- Coordinate with manufacturing management to prioritize and schedule workloads for the Quality Inspection team
- Collaborates with Manufacturing, Service, and Engineering to establish Incoming inspection and First Article Inspection requirements and coordinate the execution of inspections to meet Manufacturing and/or Engineering development timelines.
- Develop and maintain measurements and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and compliance of various inspection and manufacturing processes.
- Provides guidance, technical assistance, and training for quality inspectors and other employees.
- Perform inspection of raw materials, in-process electronic assemblies and components, and finished, packaged products.
- Prepares forms for routing, rework, quality status and the tracking of all items inspected. Perform tasks in a timely, safe and accurate manner to avoid delays in operations.
- Investigate and document product non-conformances.
- Assists with the resolution of quality related issues.
- Calibrates measurement and test equipment per internal, customer, national and international standards and procedures.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Associated Degree in technical field of study, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 5 years of Quality and/or Manufacturing experience is required. Experience in the medical device manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Computer competency in MS Office; Outlook, Excel, Word and ability to enter and maintain information needed within the HRIS System is required. Knowledge of Paylocity HRIS is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including willingness to participate in cross-functional projects and teams.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
