We're looking for an experienced Product Design Manager to lead our Design System and our PowerDMS products. As a Product Design Manager, you will set the design team priorities, manage resources, set strategic design objectives around our design system, 508c accessibility standards, mobile standards, and overall design vision.
Responsibilities
- Drive the vision, product management, and / or project management of a design system of visual style, UI components, pattern libraries, standards documentation, and page templates.
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for a team of Product Designers; lead creative and holistic thinking across diverse product releases, platforms, and devices.
- Lead the visual and technical direction of the experience design, visual style, and technical tooling, with input from director-level peers of product design and development teams.
- Build strong relationships and operating rhythms with leaders inside and outside the core product team to efficiently implement user experiences that are cohesive, inclusive, and well-informed.
- Foster a healthy design community and principles within the group, while setting new standards in executional and operational excellence for the NEOGOV design system.
- Consult with partners across the design and engineering groups to prioritize the teams’ efforts within the design system.
- Advocate for resources to ensure your team can achieve their goals.
- Contribute to and help construct and implement a mission for the design system roadmap year over year.
- Create programs to educate designers and front-end engineers on the usage of tools to help them implement components of the design system.
- Constantly iterate and build on the design system for regular releases to address business growth and internal customer needs.
