Job Description
As a physical therapist assistant, you will encounter a variety of clients that require skilled hands-on care, a solid team approach and creative problem solving
Education: Graduate of an accredited PTA program
Actively licensed as PT Assistant in the State of Mississippi required
Current CPR certificate required
Knowledge of PT principles, standards and practices
Knowledge of the exercises, modalities and training techniques used in physical therapy
Excellent oral and written communication and computer skills
Effective clinical problem-solving skills
Ability to administer a wide range of physical therapy treatments using a variety of methods and apparatuses
Ability to follow detailed therapy plans and instructions; ability to adapt exercises to specific needs of patient and to recommend therapy changes which facilitate the patient's progress
Ability to record accurate treatment notes and patient progress through oral and written communication
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, co-workers, patients and vendors
