About the Ketamine Infusion Sitter Role
We are seeking a supportive and non-directive individual to hold space for patients during ketamine infusions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold space for patients, ensuring their emotional and physical safety throughout the infusion process.
- Engage in minimal conversation, allowing patients to guide their experience.
- Discuss expectations, boundaries, and intentions with clients before each session.
- Provide a comfortable environment by adjusting music volume, offering tissues, blankets, and cushions as needed.
- Reassure clients of any fears or worries that may arise during the session.
- In the unlikely event of a medical emergency, contact the nurse or physician immediately.
- Document significant client interactions.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and grow our Sitter program.
Requirements:
- A track record of sitting with others during challenging times, with or without psychedelics involved.
- Completed training or certification in a relevant field (ideal).
- Thoughtful, compassionate, present, and personable qualities.
- The ability to hold space for complex experiences with an open, unbiased, and warm presence.
