Position Summary Information
Summary
The Executive Director will be responsible for the expansion and success of NEOMED’s executive educational programs, while also leading the development of educational offerings to support our affiliate health system partners. The position will include both executive education initiatives and academic credit-bearing programs, in compliance with the policies of the Ohio Department of Higher Education. The position will also require some teaching of assigned program content.
Principal Functional Responsibilities
Executive Education Program Leadership: Develop, expand, and oversee NEOMED’s executive education portfolio to meet the needs of healthcare executives, clinicians, and administrators.
Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams across the university, including the Vice President for Strategy and Transformation and the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, to create integrated educational solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.
Affiliate Health System Partnerships: Lead the development of tailored educational programs for NEOMED’s affiliate health system partners, including executive education programs, credit-bearing programs, and degree offerings.
Program Development and Execution: Spearhead the design and implementation of innovative educational programs, including synchronous and asynchronous online courses, with a focus on operational excellence and meeting industry standards.
Financial Management: Oversee the creation and management of multi-source, zero-based budgets for executive education programs, ensuring financial sustainability and alignment with university goals.
Continuous Improvement: Leverage expertise in lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes and continuously improve educational offerings.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with university leadership, faculty, and external partners, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and the needs of the healthcare industry.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in the development and operational management of university-level executive education programs, particularly within healthcare or related sectors.
- Master’s degree with preference for advanced degrees in education, healthcare administration, or operation and organizational development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within or with academic institutions or healthcare systems.
- Prior experience with multi-institutional collaboration and managing programs across multiple departments or organizations.
- Lean/six sigma black or master black belt certification from an accredited institution of higher education.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to utilize a phone, computer and other office equipment.
