Position Overview :
We are looking for a New Product Sales Lead to join Neon's revenue team.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving Neon's commercial goals, by identifying and developing new business opportunities, championing customer needs, and developing your own professional skills.
Our ideal candidate is someone with a technical background - former software engineer, product manager or startup founder / early GTM hire - that is looking to be in a customer facing role.

You will / Key responsibilities :
- Identify and qualify new customer sales prospects
- Represent Neon at in person events including managing follow ups with interested prospects
- Partner with Marketing and Revenue Operations to develop and executing targeted prospecting campaigns across email, social media and in-person channels
- Partner with Product and Marketing teams to refine positioning, messaging, and sales plays based on customer feedback.
- As you demonstrate success and develop your knowledge of Neon, you will have the opportunity to become an Inside Sales Representative
We're looking for someone who has :
A technical background (formal education or self-taught).Has startup experience - ideally in the Cloud Software Infrastructure / Developer Tools spaceExperience working with technical customers : engineers / product managersProactive, strong communication skills and hard workingExperience leveraging modern sales tools and CRM systems.It would be great if you have :
2-3 years of experience as in a customer facing role at a venture-backed startup, preferably in the software infrastructure, developer tools, or data space.Strong references from previous managers.Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and OLTP / OLAP databases (Postgres experience is a significant plus).Experience in "New Product Sales" rolesExperience communicating with technical buyers (e.g., developers, engineers, CTOs) is a plus.About Neon
