Neon is a customer engagement platform that helps businesses enhance their in-store experience through digital signage, overhead music, and guest Wi-Fi. We are looking for a Director of Sales to scale our sales operations and drive revenue growth.
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Sales to lead Neon's outbound sales team, drive multichannel sales strategies, and expand our partnerships. This role will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for building and optimizing our sales process, hiring and building a team, expanding our reseller and referral network, and growing our direct sales pipeline.
The ideal candidate has experience in startup sales leadership, understands subscription-based B2B sales, and knows how to execute high-velocity outbound sales strategies while building a scalable revenue engine. Additionally, they must have experience building and implementing sales systems and automation to improve efficiency.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive new customer acquisition, expansion, and retention.
- Scale outbound sales efforts, ensuring a high volume of qualified outreach and deal flow.
- Implement multichannel sales approaches, leveraging email, phone, LinkedIn, in-person events, and inbound marketing.
- Refine and optimize the sales pipeline, ensuring efficiency at every stage from lead generation to closing.
- Own the revenue target and develop a data-driven sales forecasting model.
- Cross selling across all product lines.
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing outbound sales team, including SDRs and Account Executives.
- Create playbooks, scripts, and sales processes to ensure consistency and effectiveness across the team.
- Foster a results-driven sales culture with clear KPIs, accountability, and continuous coaching.
- Expand and optimize Neon's reseller and referral programs, working with partners to generate more leads and close deals.
- Establish partnerships with POS vendors, software integrators, and agencies that can refer or resell Neon’s platform.
- Identify and engage strategic restaurant and retail brands, building relationships to drive enterprise deals.
- Leverage Salesforce to track and optimize sales performance.
- Implement automation and sales enablement tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Work closely with marketing to align campaigns with outbound sales initiatives.
The ideal candidate should have:
- 7 years of B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years in a sales leadership role at a startup or high-growth company.
- Proven experience leading an outbound sales team, building a structured sales process, and optimizing lead generation strategies.
- Experience in multichannel sales, including direct sales, channel sales, partnerships, and inbound-outbound marketing alignment.
- Strong background in SaaS, digital signage, retail technology, or subscription-based B2B sales models.
- Track record of building and scaling sales teams, with a history of exceeding revenue targets.
- Deep understanding of SMB and enterprise sales cycles, particularly in industries like restaurants, retail, hospitality, and franchises.
- Experience negotiating large deals and managing strategic partnerships with POS vendors, marketing agencies, and digital signage resellers.
- A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance strategic vision with execution.
- Demonstrated experience in building and implementing sales systems and automation to drive efficiency and scalability.
