Superintendent Position Available
The Auburn Career Center in Lake County, Ohio is seeking applicants for the position of Superintendent. The successful candidate will possess the following experiences and skills:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
- Current State of Ohio Superintendent license
- Successful experience in career and technical education leadership position
- Visionary educational leader that promotes the pursuit of educational excellence
- Ability to engage business communities, local and state politicians, and area school districts in promoting the opportunities available to area students
- Proven ability to develop and nurture effective professional relationships with all employees
- High level of professional integrity and possessing a strong work ethic
- Successful experience as an innovator in providing career and technical educational opportunities
- Successful experience with strategic planning and execution
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
- Successful experience as a Ohio school superintendent
- Successful experience in expanding capacity and program offerings
- Knowledge of Ohio Joint Vocational School funding
- Successful experience in collective bargaining
Compensation and employment terms:
The successful candidate will be offered a multi-year contract. The Board of Education will offer a compensation package based on experience and qualifications.
Tentative Timeline:
- The Board of Education will be accepting applications through April 11, 2025
- First round interviews will be held April 28 – May 2
- Final interviews will be held May 5 - May 7
- Employment action May 8
- Start of employment no later than August 1, 2025.
