WE ARE LOOKING FOR A LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
Neopharm Boston is a research & development laboratory. Our work supports a customer’s chemistry team by providing the material and information required during drug discovery and development.
This a non-exempt, hourly position that assists with the day-to-day operations of the laboratory. We are looking for a responsible person who is able to follow Standard Operating Procedures and direction.
A candidate with more experience and/or degree could quickly grow into a Scientist position.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Glassware washing and equipment cleaning
- Solution and sample preparation
- Supplies inventory maintenance
- Ordering/receiving laboratory supplies
- Shipping/receiving packages both domestic and international
- Warehouse organization and storage
- Will be trained to be able to perform routine laboratory testing on customer-supplied compounds
Education/Qualifications:
- Minimum high school graduate with science-related courses such as chemistry/biology
- Advanced science education (college courses, Associate or Bachelor of Science Degree a plus)
- Prior experience working in a laboratory or equivalent
Requirements/Skills:
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Organized, detail-oriented, good time management
- Self-motivated with a confident, positive and resourceful attitude
- Good verbal communication and writing skills
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
