About the Role - Neos is seeking a Data Governance Lead with expertise in Microsoft Purview to lead our data governance initiatives and provide strategic guidance.

Must have: Microsoft Purview, data privacy regulations, metadata management, data catalogs, data lineage, and data classification.
Good to have: Knowledge of Azure Cloud, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Snowflake
Responsibilities -
- 4 years of IT experience, including a minimum of 2 years as a Data Governance Lead.
- Lead the design and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and processes across client organizations.
- Utilize Microsoft Purview to manage and enhance data governance, including data cataloging, classification, lineage, and data lifecycle management.
- Develop and enforce data standards, policies, and practices to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with data stewards, data owners, and business stakeholders to establish data governance roles, responsibilities, and data stewardship processes.
- Provide strategic recommendations to clients for improving data governance maturity and driving data-driven decision-making.
- Monitor and report on data governance metrics, compliance status, and data quality improvements.
- Conduct data governance assessments and audits to ensure adherence to policies and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that impact data governance.
- Design and implement Microsoft Information Protection solutions, including labeling policies, DLP rules, and encryption for sensitive data.
- Familiarity with cloud tools beyond Microsoft Purview, such as, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Experience in data governance maturity assessments and frameworks like DAMA DMBOK.
- Data Governance and Data Management certifications (e.g., DGSP, CDMP) are a plus.
