Neos is seeking a Jr IT Business Systems Analyst for a long-term contract with our client in Austin, TX.

The role is open to junior-level IT practitioners with a background or interest in: Microsoft SharePoint and Teams, open data, technical training and documentation, digital records management, metadata standards, government data solutions, and no-code database platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Perform survey asset records library organization, data clean-up, and metadata creation
- Provide technical documentation support for product launches and updates, as well as tech-debt projects
- Provide Microsoft SharePoint and Teams management and assistance for departmental users, including file organization, site and group permissions, and page design support
- Participate in updating internal DTS Tracker database application
- Assist in Semi-Annual Open Data Quality Review
- Develop, design and maintain our no-code enterprise applications
Technical Skills Required:
- Experience with M365 suite, especially SharePoint and Teams (including permissions and site design)
- Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders to understand and document technical problems and needs, and identify solutions where appropriate
- Capacity to work closely with our team lead and builders, product managers, and developers to perform responsibilities as outlined above
- Ability to work in two-week sprint cycles and attend sprint reviews and Applications sync and check-in sessions
- Ability to document your work, sharing technical details, process context, and lessons learned with colleagues
- Readiness to participate in team, division, and department meetings and events
- Ability to manage your time between ongoing and one-time projects related to the Applications team solutions and software
Preferred:
- Experience working on a highly collaborative team that tracks their work in a systematic way
- Experience with M365 Government Cloud Community (GCC)
- Experience with communications and documentation platforms (Slack, Github, Miro)
- Experience capturing processes and procedures into documentation and tutorials, balancing written and visual content
- Experience with online platforms and applications for data and documentation
- Knowledge of open data standards and practices
- Experience with custom no-code/low-code database platforms like Knack
- Essential skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with emphasis on providing exceptional customer service and clear documentation
- Collaborate and communicate with Applications and other DTS workgroups on project needs and status updates
- Demonstrate professionalism and responsibility
- Data, file, and content organizing skills
