Job Title: Product Owner / Business Analyst (Java/Oracle Web Application) Location: 701 W 51st Street, Austin, Texas 78751 (Hybrid – 4 days remote, 1 day onsite on Fridays)

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner / Business Analyst to support a mission-critical, web-based Java/Oracle application used by multiple internal divisions for contract management. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills to work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including development and QA.
The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of Agile methodologies, a track record of successful system analysis and requirement gathering, and the ability to prioritize tasks that align with project goals and user needs.
Required Skills and Experience
Required:
- 8 years of Business Analyst experience
- 8 years of SQL expertise
- 8 years of experience with system reporting tools (Oracle, SQL)
- 8 years of experience in systems testing (Unit, Integration, UAT)
- 8 years of experience with Agile software development methodologies
- 8 years of experience delivering complex Java/Oracle applications
Preferred:
- 5 years of strong verbal and written communication skills
- 2 years of Project and/or Product Management experience
- 2 years of experience prioritizing high-value features and tasks
- 2 years of experience using Jira or similar project management tools
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Develop user stories, business requirement documents, and detailed specifications
- Partner with development teams to ensure accurate translation of business needs into technical solutions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and coordinate daily with developers and testers
- Plan and support user acceptance testing (UAT), system demos, and code releases
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project progress and system changes
- Provide occasional on-call support based on project needs.
