The Neosho County Clerk’s Office is looking for a full-time & career minded individual to fill the position of Administrative Assistant. This position's starting wage is $16.00 - $17.00 (qualifications dependent). The person chosen for this position will be required to comply with all state statutes, county, and departmental policies and procedures.

JOB SUMMARY:
Position will be responsible for preparing various correspondence, reports, data entry, numerous miscellaneous documents, phone and e-mail communications. Assist Deputy Elections Clerk, as needed, during election seasons.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to type a minimum of 50 wpm, and to use a ten-key accurately and proficiently.
- Possess the ability to clearly, and efficiently communicate with taxpayers, county employees, and the public regarding all issues.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, & Excel.
- Basic mathematical and bookkeeping skills, data entry knowledge.
- Ability to provide excellent, courteous and efficient customer service.
- Possess good general office and organizational skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to work closely with others and get along with co-workers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, use arms, hands and fingers, speak, hear and see. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to, occasionally, lift up to 25 pounds.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 1-year relevant work experience, and high school diploma or certified equivalent is required. A combination of education, and experience will be considered for this position.
