What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation RN or RRT position at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center?
The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation RN or RRT ensuring high quality, high utilization and adherence to both DHC and NMRMC policies and procedures. Implements a variety of exercise treatments focusing on individualized needs with the specific objective of breathing retraining, increasing endurance, improve functionality and fostering independence in caring for self.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Normal days of operation are Monday through Friday, but may be required to work varying hours.
EDUCATION:
- BSN preferred, but not required.
LICENSE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION:
- Current Kansas RN license or Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC and will maintain active credential status with the NBRC.
- BLS - Obtains RQI BLS certification within appropriate quarter (approximately within 3 months of hire), maintains quarterly RQI requirements.
- ALS-Obtains RQI ALS certification within appropriate quarter (approximately within 6 months of hire), maintains quarterly RQI requirements.
EXPERIENCE:
- One year of nursing or RRT experience required.
- Cardiac experience preferred.
- Competent and comfortable with telemetry.
- Knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy, physiology and disease pathology.
- Knowledge of cardiovascular and pulmonary assessments, electrocardiograph interpretations and verbal and written communication ability.
- Skilled in cardiovascular and pulmonary examination techniques, CPR, defibrillation and emergency medications.
- Computer experience required or ability to learn computer operation within 3 months.
