The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, managing, and running of all the finance activities of Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk, and governance as well as negotiations. The CFO provides leadership, direction, coordination, and administration to the critical access hospital and clinics. The CFO will carry out their duties by adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acting in the hospital's best interest, and fully supporting the mission, vision, and values of NMRMC.
The Chief Financial Officer has knowledge of healthcare finances, regulatory standards, demonstrates significant compliance and ability to interact, relate to, work with, and support the activities of a diverse workforce. As a member of the Hospital’s senior management team, the Chief Financial Officer will participate in the financial and functional decision-making processes necessary for the successful attainment of the hospital’s mission in addition to maintaining an awareness of changes in healthcare matters that could have an impact on the success of the hospital. The Chief Financial Officer administers, directs, and monitors all financial activities and keeps the CEO, Management, and hospital Board of Trustees informed of the financial condition of the facility.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned. May be expected to work varying hours, holidays, and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
- Master of Business Administration preferred.
LICENSE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of five years of financial or accounting progressive managerial experience required.
- Previous CFO level or equivalent experience within an acute care hospital preferred.
- Critical access hospital financial experience preferred.
- Requires managerial experience and demonstrated understanding and experience with hospital financial reporting, revenue cycle management, accounting, budgeting, accounts payable, treasury, audit, tax, and payroll.
- Demonstrated skill in working with management in developing short- and long-term strategies.
- Excellent financial analytic skills, verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate complex financial concepts in a concise and useful manner.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.
