About the Position
The Chief Financial Officer will oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, audits, tax planning, and other financial activities. This leader will provide strategic direction and decision-making support to ensure the attainment of the hospital's mission.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement financial plans that align with the hospital's goals.
- Financial Operations Management: Oversee accounting, treasury, audit, tax, and payroll functions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Internal Controls: Establish effective internal controls to prevent financial mismanagement and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Financial Leadership: Provide guidance and training to managers and staff to achieve financial objectives.
- Reporting and Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to the Board of Trustees.
- Critical Access Hospital Experience: Prior experience working in a critical access hospital environment is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
- MBA preferred.
- CPA certification is highly valued.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.
- At least five years of financial or accounting management experience, preferably in an acute care hospital setting.
