What are the responsibilities and job description for the Float Clinic Office Assistant position at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center?
The Office Assistant possesses knowledge in the scheduling of physician appointments. Demonstrates verbal skills with telephone calls and patient reception. Able to coordinate all appointments to work in conjunction with physician schedule. Work with patients of all ages; interviewing skills appropriate for the following age groups: Adolescent 12 years thru 17 years, Adult 18 thru 65 years, and Geriatric > 65 years.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Education / Experience
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Area. circumference and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
