Ignition Developer

Role: Ignition Developer- Ignition SCADA (Perspective & Vision) & MES(Sepasoft)

Position type: Contract/C2H/FTE.

Location: Rocky mount or Columbus (Onsite)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ignition Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Ignition SCADA solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of industrial automation, data integration, and software development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Design: Lead the architectural design and development of Ignition SCADA (Perspective & Vision) and MES solutions.
• System Integration: Integrate MES with various enterprise systems such as ERP, PLM, and other third-party applications.
• Project Leadership: Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Technical Expertise: Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for MES and Ignition systems.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and training materials.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in MES and SCADA development.
• Mentorship: Train and mentor junior developers and end-users on MES and Ignition systems.

Client Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution.
• Manage client expectations and provide regular updates on project progress.
• Address client concerns and provide solutions to ensure successful project outcomes.

Must Have Technical Skills:

• Minimum 7-8 years of experience in industrial automation and MES solutions.
• Extensive experience with Ignition functionalities for Tags/Designers, Tag Historian, Alarm Notification, Vision Client, SQL Bridge, MQTT & OPCUA, MS SQL.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python & MS SQL.
• Experience in developing OEE, Track & Trace, Quality applications using Ignition Vision, Perspective, Sepasoft MES modules.
• Expertise in Ignition Perspective web browser module.
• Proficient in alarms and notifications, reporting module, recipe handling, etc.
• Strong experience with Oracle PL/SQL, MS SQL database, stored procedures, SQL queries, and triggers.
• Experience in PLC ladder logic development.
• Familiarity with Kepware & Ignition Cloud integrations.
• Development experience with Sepasoft MES Modules is a plus.
• Advanced MES Configuration: Expertise in configuring MES systems for complex manufacturing processes, including batch processing, discrete manufacturing, and continuous production.
• Data Analytics: Strong skills in data analytics and visualization tools to interpret MES data and provide actionable insights.
• Cybersecurity: Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for MES and SCADA systems to ensure data integrity and system security.
• Cloud Integration: Experience with cloud-based MES solutions and integrating MES with cloud platforms for enhanced scalability and data accessibility.
• IoT Integration: Proficiency in integrating MES with IoT devices and sensors for real-time data acquisition and monitoring.

Certifications:

• Ignition certification or other relevant certifications.
