Summary
Provide daily upkeep and cleanliness and provide routine cleaning tasks. The Janitor is responsible for contributing to the overall upkeep of the building.
Essential Job Elements
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobby, restrooms and other work areas.
- Sweeps and scrubs floors.
- Cleans rugs and carpets.
- Dusts furniture and equipment.
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets.
- Wipe down sinks and faucets.
- Clean glass and mirrors.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Other custodial duties as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Work Experience
- High School
- 1 years of experience in custodial role
Skills/Knowledge
- Cleaning skills and able to safely use cleaning materials
- Attention to detail to keeping a facility clean.
- Must be organized and able to handle a multi-task environment
- Ability to work on single task / procedures Highly repetitive or routine duties
- Work independently and motivated
