Position Overview
The Supply Chain Coordinator plays a critical role in managing, organizing, and distributing parts, materials, and supplies to support production and maintenance operations. This individual ensures accurate inventory tracking, maintains proper stock levels, and provides clerical support to the planning and procurement department.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue and receive parts, materials, and supplies to support production, maintenance, and other departments, ensuring timely delivery and availability.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date records of inventory transactions, usage, and stock movements.
- Monitor and update stock levels in the inventory management system to ensure accuracy and availability of materials.
- Inspect incoming parts and supplies for quality, accuracy, and conformity to specifications.
- Organize and label parts in the storeroom for efficient identification, access, and retrieval.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and support inventory audits to verify stock accuracy.
- Place orders for parts, materials, and supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels and uninterrupted operations.
- Identify and report low-stock, damaged, or obsolete inventory, recommending solutions for replacement or disposal.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and proper storage guidelines in the handling and placement of inventory.
- Assist in identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies to maintain accurate stock records.
- Place orders for packaging materials based on sales order requirements, ensuring timely fulfillment.
- Coordinate with suppliers to track packaging delivery dates, adjusting orders as needed to align with production schedules.
- Place and manage orders for office supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Prepare shipments via UPS/DHL, ensuring timely dispatch and proper documentation.
- Track and monitor contract reviews for sales orders to ensure timely release and processing.
- Scan, archive, and organize documents in compliance with company standards and retention policies.
- Allocate time effectively between storeroom duties and various clerical functions related to supply chain operations.
- Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in inventory control, warehousing, or parts management preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and maintenance parts.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical certificate or associate’s degree in administrative office technology or a related field preferred.
- 1 year of experience managing a tool crib or parts storeroom preferred.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to walk, stand, and move around the facility.
- Exposure to hot, cold, humid conditions and high-noise environments.
